The atmosphere of emotion enveloped Velodrome Jakarta
East Jakarta, Sunday (27/4) – The halal atmosphere of Bihalal DPD PDIP DKI Jakarta which was originally full of excitement suddenly turned into deep sorrow. DKI Jakarta DPRD member from the PDIP Faction, Brando Susanto, died suddenly while giving a speech on the Jakarta International Velodrome stage.
Thousands of cadres who packed Velodrome were silent, witnessed the unexpected incident with faces full of concern.
Around 13.32 WIB, Brando Susanto, who also served as chairman of the event committee, stood on stage to greet all cadres present. Only a few sentences he said, Brando’s body suddenly collapsed in front of everyone.
The cadres on the stage immediately ran to help him. Some medical personnel on duty at the location immediately gave first aid before the Brando was evacuated to the nearest hospital.
Unfortunately, fate said differently. Brando was declared dead shortly after being rushed from the scene.
Who is Brando Susanto?
Brando Susanto is known as a young hardworking figure within the DKI Jakarta DPRD and in the PDIP body. He is active in various party activities, known to be close to grassroots cadres, and has a high morale.
DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung, who was present at the event, could not hold back his emotions when announcing this sad news.
“On this occasion, I want to say deep sorrow. What our best friend, Brando, is an example for all of us, working until the end of his life,” Pramono said in a trembling voice.
This tragic incident occurred in the middle of the Halal Bihalal DPD PDIP DKI Jakarta on Sunday, April 27, 2025. The event that was supposed to be a place for friendship and celebration had ended with a sense of loss.
The committee immediately stopped the entire series of events after the incident as a form of respect to Brando.
This event took place at Jakarta International VelodromeRawamangun, East Jakarta, where the Halal Bihalal DPD PDIP DKI Jakarta 2025 event took place. A place that is usually filled with cheers is now frozen in silence.
An eyewitness, Arif Maulana, told the atmosphere of emotion, “Everyone is silent. Many are crying, do not believe what just happened.”
Suddenly Brando Susanto’s death left a deep wound for many people, not only because of his position, but also because of the dedication he showed until the end of his life.
“He is a very dedicated person. Even on his last day, he still works for the party and the people,” said one of the Separtai Brando bends.
Pramono Anung invited all cadres present to pray for the deceased, while reminding that the hard work and loyalty of Brando must be an example for all.
After the incident, the whole schedule of the Halal Bihalal event was canceled. DPD PDIP DKI Jakarta announced the period of mourning, and the tribute ceremony for Brando will soon be held.
The family and political colleagues also expressed their sorrow and remember the brando as a humble figure and full of fighting spirit.
